Meet Mr. Paul Kobani, the worst LGA chairman in Rivers State

In April last year hon.Paul Vidag Kobani was elected appointed the executive chair man of Gokana local government area of Rivers state.

Out of the 23 local government area of the oil rich state, his scorecard as been abysmall as no project has either been started nor commissioned by Mr kobani coupled with an upsurge in insecurity and increased cultist activities.

The LG boss seems to be overwhelmed by the task of governance which he was electeded selected for as nothing has improved since he assumed office.

While the LGA boss keeps receiving over #500M monthly as security votes, the indigenes of the LGA can barely sleep with their two eyes closed as incessant kidnappings, killings, communal clashes and cultists activities has been on the increase.

previous administrations has always priotised people oriented projects to make life easier for the local indigenes as social amenities like electricity, youth empowerment and social welfare has now been a thing of the past.

Since Mr.Kobani assumed office, the people of the LGA has been experiencing darkness like never before as the LG chairman has refused to pay PHCN authorities and has hitherto siphoned the funds meant for the power project, this has greatly affected economic activities in the area as can be highlighted by Mr Goodluck Baridura from Bomu community who operates a local Barning saloon.

In his words,; since Paul Kobani came to power there has never been electricity in the LGA and it has greatly affected his business as he has to spend more on purchasing petrol to run his generating set.

Besides his anti-people style of governance, the LG chairman has also been accused of nepotism as 80% of his appointees are from his bodo city community.

The people of Gokana local government area are therefore calling on the governor of the state Chief barrister Ezenwo Nyesom Wike to call the LGA boss who is currently under suspensionRead here to order in order to forestall a breakdown of law and other in the LGA.
